Tipping the scales: How we helped Scales Plus realize success
Scales Plus is a B2B scales distributer. The brand has a wide target audience, and one of its biggest challenges is growing its visibility across all of the niche industries it services, including cannabis, industrial, consumer package goods, medical, and more.
Our SEO team developed a unique strategy built around growing recognition within those industries and improving rankings for industry, brand, and product-specific queries. The campaign required the creation of new content that positioned Scales Plus as an industry leader and provided accessible information for anyone who might be looking for scales. Our SEO and content marketing teams collaborated on this initiative to ensure total alignment between keyword research, internal linking, and creating technical content that provides value for visitors.
This campaign was a success that led to major increases in organic traffic and revenue for Scales Plus. So far we’ve moved 27 keywords to the top 3 positions for a total of 80 keywords in the top 3 positions with a combined monthly search volume of 157,630. On top of that, we’ve seen increases YoY from February to May across organic traffic, including a 124% increase in users, a 117% increase in sessions, and a 78% increase in page views.
Overall revenue is up 67% YoY from February to May, and organic revenue is up 18%. Just this month, Scales Plus hit its target revenue growth goal of increasing monthly revenue to $1 million. This has been an ongoing initiative that our team has been working toward through this campaign, so hitting the number is an exciting accomplishment.
We are especially proud of this campaign due to the amount of SEO analysis and research that went into it paired with the collaboration needed to build a unified digital strategy. At Perrill, we prioritize cohesiveness and cross-departmental collaboration, and this campaign represents a holistic approach that combines digital advertising, SEO, and content to drive success. SEO was only a piece of the greater puzzle, and without incorporating those other pieces, we wouldn’t have achieved these results. Our team immersed itself in the scales industry to provide the best results for the client, allowing Scales Plus to stand out as an industry leader and better connect with its customers.
