Trumping the rest: How it Feels To Take Home 5 Golds at the US Search Awards

Jay-Z once sang of New York: If you can make it here, you can make it anywhere. That is exactly how our team felt on October 30th, when we cleaned up at our first-ever US Search Awards event.

It seemed just like a dream when award-after-award had our name on it. Starting with gold for Best Integrated Campaign and culminating in an award for Best Use of AI in Content, the awards kept rolling in.

Why We Enter Awards

It’s been a big year for us on the award scene, taking home two golds at the Global Search Awards, and being honoured in Prague at the EU Search Awards. But the US Search Awards are particularly important for us, primarily because a large majority of the impressive work we do on a daily basis is for Stateside clients.

To get the stamp of approval for what we do in digital marketing matters. It matters to us, and it matters to the clients who trust us to enhance their presence online and drive conversions through our tailored and strategic approach.

What We Took Home

We were alarmed to take home so much hardware on the night of the event. Alarmed and excited of course, some of the categories we had never entered before, in particular, Best Use of AI In Content.

Here’s some more about our award-winning work:

Somebody Digital & Lofta: For this SEO work, we took home two gold awards on the night. Lofta is one of our US-based clients, focusing on selling sleep apnea solutions, such as CPAP machines. Our SEO strategy for them returned a 98% increase in revenue directly attributed to organic traffic while managing to overcome the challenges of working in a highly regulated industry, as well as algorithm volatility.

Somebody Digital & ApriaDirect: A sister company to Lofta, ApriaDirect approached us to develop an integrated campaign for their Black Friday/ Cyber Monday efforts in 2023. Overcoming MAP policies, our team of SEO and PPC experts collaborated to create an integrated campaign that drove a 44% increase in sales year-on-year for the Black Friday period.

 Somebody Digital & Indeed Flex: As a forward-thinking, digital-first company, this project allowed us to leverage the power of AI tools and our SEO expertise to get Indeed Flex, a new player in the temporary jobs space to begin to rank quickly amongst established competitors. By quickly generating and vetting content, we were able to help this new business establish its name as the go-to platform for job seekers.

Somebody Digital & Transcend: This was our first time entering an award for our PPC work on Transcend, and we’re proud to have been awarded Silver for Best Use of Search (Health). In a very short period of time, our ten-point strategy helped drive an impressive increase in sales for this Micro CPAP manufacturer.

Somebody Digital & our 2FA Client: This one was a wild card entry, little did we know that our humble efforts on this account would win us gold at both the US and Global Search Awards. This campaign was all about launching paid media in new global markets, overcoming lack of data and language barriers to deliver great results for our clients.

We promise we won’t let these awards go to our heads! If anything, it makes our team even more determined to continue making great content that drives value for our clients, while also winning us a few shiny trophies for our efforts.
